As part of a multi- million dollar renovation of the Simi Valley Town Center, the Studio Movie Grill is the franchise's first theater in California. The multiplex is intended to create an immersive entertainment experience with full service dining and full reclining couches.

Close coordination between the design teams allowed for a unique structural solution to avoid headroom issues and increase open space. Long span beams with a buckiling restrained brace frame system were used to resist seismic forces.
