Agoura Hills, CA

The Conrad Hilton Foundation Campus is an incredible project that was thought provoking and required high level of coordination to meet the Foundation's level for quality. The Foundation describes the project best: “Our Agoura Hills home has been carefully designed as a cutting-edge, environmentally sensitive and energy-efficient building that co-exists in harmony with the surrounding environment.”

The framing was exposed with no drop ceilings. The project was a LEED Platinum project. This aesthetically pleasing structural system was challenging due to the fact that all plumbing, electrical and all miscellaneous items had to go through the steel floor and not underneath it. The I-shaped steel beams were designed and detailed to take on many penetrations while minimizing depth and maintaining structural integrity.
